I have been told by other people who have seen it. And yet, I have never been a witness. Until today. While I was working away on the other side of the room, my handsome little man did it. He rolled. From back to front. Front to back. And then he just kept going. And going. And going.
Then he fell asleep.
This is going by way to fast.
Luke rolled over today. May 31, 2011. It is a good one. I had to write it down.
I’m posting this to enter a contest offered by MeridaHome at Design For Mankind! I want to win the iPad 2! (and I love Erin’s shoes!)
So I am going to be in Chicago for 36 hours. Actually, less than that. I am going to be away from home for a total of 44 hours.
So far I have been gone for four hours.
I have pumped twice.
I have called home three times.
I made a new friend on the plane.
Everything is fine.
But I am still a weepy mess. Luke is fine. Probably doesn’t even miss me. But I feel like this is the biggest deal on earth. Is the first time I have been away from him for more than five hours.
I am going to Chicago for amazing, fantabulous albeit cold fun (work). But it doesn’t change the fact that I miss my handsome man (and my super strong and smart girl too).
It is going to be gnarly….in a good way.
In the meantime, I will be searching for an electrical outlet.
It really is a Hallmark holiday, but if you get these two out of it- it makes it totally worth it. Thanks Gia and Luke. Being your mom is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Last night as I was getting shrimp out of the freezer for dinner I could not get the freezer to close. We have a French door refrigerator that has a pull out drawer like freezer on the bottom.
There was a brown paper sack preventing the door from closing.
What ever could be inside?
Oh, a hard boiled blue egg from Easter, a sterling silver sugar spoon, a golf ball and a napkin.
“Gia, what is this?”
“Your lunch mommy.”
Of course it is.
